If you can beat the challenge, it's worth it. While it may be a little less convenient, and require more work, look at it like it's a challenge and see if you are up to it.
Replacing it at this point would be difficult financially. I have a laptop, but it was outrageously expensive. When travelling, carrying a Chromebook around is much much easier than a larger laptop as well. Of course you lose access to your Steam library and other places you have purchased games, so some would say it isn't ideal, but at least you have an option. According to Stadia I can play it with a $300 Chromebook. However, none of the addons were working and when I went to settings in ESO, the addon settings selection was gone. Today I logged into ESO and my addons were showing up in the addon list, including the out of date check selected. But let's say my computer blows up, and I don't have money to replace it with a $1,000 replacement (that's being conservative now-a-days), Stadia is the solution. I use minion and it was working well with connecting my mods to my game and doing the updates.
No Lazy Writ Crafter, so crafting becomes more time consuming. Finding things like Treasure Maps or Survey Maps requires going online, looking up the map, and then wandering around the general area a bit to find them, but it can be done. Finding resources is more challenging because you are unable to use Harvest Map. ESO is playable without addons, but it is much more challenging.
